High school
I had to edit a paper for a freshman boy yesterday. I could not understand what was going on it. His grammar was poor, his sentence structure was obscure, and he used the wrong punctuation in at least every other sentence.
I began to think, how is this person in college? Literally, how did he pass high school with this type of writing? What is going on inside the high schools that have stopped...

LIKES: When my boyfriend calls me in the midst of drunken debauchery just to tell me he loves me.
DISLIKES: When my friends come in to town that I haven’t seen in months and I am not there to celebrate their presence.
Home has been good to me. I have a carload full of stuff mom bought for me, plus two more packages (and a bottle of organic grown-grape wine) to take back to my place....

I spent last night celebrating by shooting Busch Light cans with a bb gun, eating Reese’s s’mores, and cookin’ beef franks over a fire in the back yard.
James’s best time: 23 seconds to hit 10 cans. Shannen’s best time: 33 seconds to hit 10 cans.
We’re all pretty good at shootin’ a guuuuun.
